Compensation of diffracted field in an array of plane waveguides with nonuniformities
Abstract
The paper examines a plane-waveguide array with inhomogeneities, and establishes conditions regarding the mode transformation matrix for which there is total compensation of the field of diverging spatial harmonics. It is shown that total compensation can be achieved for a specific range of plane-wave incidence angles and can be a realized by different 'sets' of transformation coefficients.
