Natural and flicker fluctuations in high frequency transistor oscillators
Abstract
An equivalent bipolar transistor noise circuit and its piecewise-linear model are used to derive a stochastic differential equation with variable terms and periodic nonstationary right part. This equation describes natural and flicker fluctuations in the transistor oscillator. The method of pulse characteristics is used to obtain an exact solution for this equation. Normalized noise coefficients are determined which can be used to calculate fluctuation power spectra in various nonlinear transistor circuits.
