The problem of measuring simultaneously the angular parameters of several signals
Abstract
A number of statistical and deterministic methods of synthesizing algorithms for the simultaneous measurement of the parameters of many signals have been proposed by various investigators. In view of their complexity, existing procedures for arbitrary parameters and modulation laws are limited essentially to the joint measurement of the angular coordinates of multitarget signals. Presently, there exist discrepancies concerning the possibilities in principle of using such measurement techniques beyond the range of Rayleigh signal broadening against a noise background. The aim of the present paper is to compare statistically optimal approaches with the general deterministic approach, within the range of practically realizable accuracy characteristics.
