Combination resonances in dynamically adjusted gyroscopes
Abstract
It is demonstrated that combination resonances can arise in dynamically adjusted gyroscopes. These additional resonances can lead to systematic drift of the gyro and to the loss of free gyroscopic properties. Ways to protect dynamically adjusted gyros against combination resonances are discussed.
