Jets in High Energy Collisions
Abstract
A wide array of processes shows kinematical features which are typical of reactions involving hadron constituents acting independently of one another. These constituents, which can often be identified with quarks, do not appear as such but materialize as hadronic jets. Evidence for jet structure in different kinds of reactions is reviewed. Jet properties are discussed. The relevance of QCD is assessed with hints at future prospects for pbar p interactions in the collider version of present synchrotrons.
