Selection of central events in intermediate energy heavy-ion collisions
Abstract
We introduce the centrality parameter which measures the degree of departure from axial symmetry of the reaction products in a nearly head-on collision. The centrality parameter can be used to select events which are nearly head-on in order to facilitate comparison of experimental results with theoretical predictions.
