Color Brightening in Deep-Inelastic Compton Scattering.
Abstract
In this thesis, Deep inelastic Compton scattering (DICS) process is investigated to test whether the color symmetry is broken or exact. For DICS, it is shown that even below color threshold the effects of color do not vanish and the color can be probed with its whole strength above color threshold. (Q('4))(,eff), square of the effective coupling constant for i-th type parton for DICS, are calculated and the DICS differential cross section of gluon is calculated in the frame work of parton model. Comparing with the present experimental data, it is found that the predictions by broken color gauge model by Pati an Salam are well consistent with the experiment.
