Computer model of a charge-coupled device for operation in a circuit simulation program
Abstract
The operation and applications of a flexible, one dimensional model of a charge coupled device programmed to operate in circuit transient analysis computer programs are described. The computer model embodies the expanded transfer inefficiency equations along with thermal generation effects and models for the CCD input and output interfaces. Although the model is comprehensive in scope, the subroutine structure, input-output functions and device parameter entries are designer oriented. The model as presently developed is expected to aid in the circuit design process employing charge-coupled devices as circuit elements.
