Measurements of the Total Elastic Scattering Cross - for Argon on Argon at Collision Energies Below Four Millivolts.
Abstract
Total elastic scattering cross sections for argon on argon were measured over the energy range of two to four millivolts. Identical particle symmetry oscillations were clearly resolved, with two maxima and three minima observed. Comparisons were made with computed cross sections. Relative positions of the sharp minima were more accurately determined than absolute positions, with the locations of the maxima and the shapes of the peaks being the less accurately measured quantities.
