Waves in unmagnetized plasma - A study in wave-wave interaction
Abstract
The linear theory with extension to composite plasma is discussed. Consideration is given to marginally stable solutions. Different cases of coherent three-wave interaction are studied using both the hydrodynamical and kinetic theories. A case of double coupling (a combination of near-resonant forward- and backward scattering) is analyzed. The Van Kampen theory for longitudinal and transverse waves is reviewed.
