Homothermal shock wave generated by the action of instantaneously-applied monochromatic radiation
Abstract
The self-simulating problem of the propagation of an intense shock wave generated by an isotropic point source of monochromatic radiation is analyzed in a homothermal approximation. The gas density and velocity profiles are calculated.
