Observational properties of clumps in the galaxy Markarian 325.
Abstract
Observational properties of three clumps in Markarian 325 are obtained by spectroscopic analysis. They have extremely blue colors, and oxygen abundances in them are rather poorer than that of the Orion Nebula. Although these properties seem to be similar to those of I Zw 18 and II Zw 40, clumps in Markarian 325 are characteristic of low excitation and of giant H II regions in luminous irregular galaxies.
