Stability of plane parallel flows in a magnetized plasma
Abstract
The problem of stability of planeparallel flows in a magnetized plasma is investigated on the basis of the MHD equations. The corresponding eigenvalue problem for incompressible velocity perturbations is solved numerically by using continuous profiles for both plasma density and velocity at equilibrium.
