Optical methods for measuring temperatures in metallurgy
Abstract
The papers deal with theoretical and experimental studies in the area of optical pyrometry and with theoretical aspects of true-temperature pyrometry, both in the case of self-radiation and external radiation sources. A new method of polychromatic pyrometry is described, and the potentialities of systems for measuring true temperatures in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy are assessed. Some results obtained with interference color filters are examined.
