Introduction to acoustic dynamics of machines
Abstract
The book deals with the main problems of acoustic dynamics and methods for their solutions. Analysis of acoustic signals of machines and acoustic diagnostics of machines are discussed with emphasis placed on the probability analysis of acoustic signals and classification of noise and vibration sources. Sound propagation and attenuation in machine structures are considered, including propagation of compressional waves in elastic rods and machine structures. Methods for reducing machine acoustic activities, such as isolation, damping, and absorption, are outlined.
