Functional generators with distributed parameters: Theoretical and computational foundations
Abstract
The theory and computation of functional generators based on microelectronic systems with distributed and quasi-distributed nonlinear and time-varying parameters are analyzed. The fundamental problems of functional microelectronics are formulated and mathematical and physical models of functional media and generators are discussed. The analysis of processes in distributed nonlinear and nonstationary systems on the bases of Volterra series and the multidimensional Laplace transformation is considered, and principles for synthesizing distributed parameter functional generators on the basis of electrical and structural models are formulated. Attention is given to the transformation and generation of oscillations in nonlinear and nonstationary one and two dimensional systems and to the stability of active systems, and the construction of analog and digital functional generators on the basis of these systems is discussed. The noise characteristics of distributed linear systems are also examined.
