Theoretical aspects of the orientation problem for stereo MSS data coverage
Abstract
An analysis of the orientation technique for stereo MSS data coverage from aircraft is presented. The interior orientation parameters of MSS imagery produced from MSS data were defined, and the analytical orientation method for single MSS data coverage from aircraft was described with the forward intersection. The orientation technique proposed here is based on the simultaneous determination of the exterior orientation parameters for stereo photographs. This method will be tested with experimental models to investigate the attainable accuracy, and to determine possible difficulties in the analysis of stereo MSS data.
