Integral inequalities and stability of motion
Abstract
The book deals with the method of Volterra integral inequalities, which is an effective method of qualitative analysis. A method proposed by Lakshmikantham for solving integral inequalities is outlined, and its systematic application to the analysis of linear and nonlinear inequalities is demonstrated. The discussion covers the properties of functions that satisfy integral inequalities of the first and second kind, used in the analysis of the qualititative behavior of solutions of systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Model examples and solutions to actual problems of mechanics are presented.
