Characteristics of moving-target detection and indication by short-range radar using several types of signals
Abstract
An analysis is presented of the noise immunity to reflections from the earth's surface of several types of signals used in short-range radar; the characteristics of moving-target detection and indication by radar systems operating under conditions of such noise are also examined. The efficiency of an MTI filter system is assessed and compared to that of a system with interperiod compensation; it is found that the former system provides better noise reduction.
