A study of the availanle evidence on duration effects on comport and task proficiency under vibration
Abstract
The experimental literature on time dependence effects relating to "reduced comfort" and to "fatigue/reduced proficiency" in the presence of vibration at levels appropriate to a range of transport situations is discussed. It is concluded that there is little or no evidence to support the assertion of a time dependence effect, such as is quoted in ISO 2631, at least for durations up to 2 {1}/{2} hours.
