The ionic conductivity of PbFCl
Abstract
Ionic conductivity results on PbFCl both parallel and perpendicular to the crystallographic c axis are reported. In conjunction with transference numbers, aliovalent dopant effects, 19F NMR and structural considerations mechanisms governing the ionic conductivity in PbFCl are proposed. Experimental ∆Hm values are related with the defect jumps involved. The formation enthalpy for a set of Schottky defects in PbFCl is presented.
