Electrohydraulic - The most versatile shaker
Abstract
The electrohydraulic shaker and its application for vibration and shock test needs are discussed, together with a review of the uses and limitations of the mechanical and the electromagnetic shakers. Operation of the electrohydraulic shakers is considered, noting that the valve assembly is always mounted as close to the cylinder as possible to minimize the oil volume between the valve and piston head. Advantages of the electrohydraulic shakers are taken into account, indicating that they have virtually unlimited stroke capability and forces up to 36287 kg. The approach of combining vibration with intense noise testing is mentioned.
