Effect of physicochemical processes on gas generation in heat pipes
Abstract
The experiments described were carried out to study the performance of heat pipes for various heat transfer agents, wall materials, and wick materials. Some characteristic features of water heat pipe performance are noted. Chromatograms of the noncondensing gas are given for a variety of heat pipe designs. Experimental and theoretical data on hydrogen generation are compared.
