Time- and frequency-domain characteristics of man-made radio noise affecting HF-communications sites
Abstract
The short-term properties of man-made radio noise affecting operational HF receivers are described by simulated three-dimensional display. Noise is categorized into types, and the importance of each type to HF circuit operation is discussed. The types of noise are also related to source categories to simplify source location and control processes.
