An algorithm to compute large-change sensitivities of linear digital networks
Abstract
A new algorithm is derived for computing the deviation of the transfer function of a linear digital network from its nominal value due to an incremental change in all its coefficients simultaneously. The algorithm relates the total change in the transfer function to the topology of the given network and is a generalization of a method devised for the case of an incremental change in one multiplier coefficient only. An analysis program based on this algorithm has been used to compute the large-change sensitivities of a number of FIR/IIR structures.
