Nonreciprocal directional filter - A new multipurpose ferrite device
Abstract
A new ferrite device, the nonreciprocal directional filter (n.d.f.), is proposed. Owing to its tunability and selective properties, the device can be successfully applied to channel separation, isolation and band elimination and can be used as a tuning element in microwave oscillators. Experimental data is presented illustrating the performance of a prototype n.d.f. as a diplexer.
