The interactive image system for the Meteosat project - MISS IDA
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present the design and concepts underlying the Meteorological Interactive Software System for Image Data Analysis (MISS IDA) developed at ESOC, the main operational application being quality control of meteorological products obtained from large-scale batch computer analysis of earth images obtained from the Meteosat geostationary meteorological satellite. A review of available facilities and operational procedures is also presented.
