Calculation of the transfer function of a parametric H.F. amplitude measuring system by means of the harmonic balance
Abstract
When reducing damping of a system capable of oscillation by means of utilizing the parametric principle, changes of eigenfrequency as function of the excitation amplitude are noticed. The quantitative connection, i.e., the transfer function between excitation amplitude and eigen-frequency is calculated. The differential equations describing the system are non-linear as well as time-variant. The harmonic balance serves as an expedient to solve these equations approximately. The theoretical results gained by this method are convincingly confirmed by the experiment.
