Caractérisation des guides circulaires par l'analyse spectrale de leurs défectuosités
Abstract
A procedure for calculating the attenuation caused by geometrical deformations in a circular waveguide is proposed. It is shown that the additional attenuation arising from random deformations of waveguide radius and axis can be related to the corresponding spectral density. This makes it possible to devise a spectral estimation method for evaluating the effects of the deformations. Ways to improve fidelity, accuracy and robustness of the spectral estimates are outlined.
