The pre-maximum light curve of the slow Nova Vulpeculae 1979.
Abstract
Blue-sensitive plates from the Harvard College Observatory archival collection show that Nova Vulpeculae 1979 began its recent outburst in late 1977 and may not have yet reached maximum brightness. Prior to 1977 the star varied irregularly between B = 14.5 and B = 16.6.
