Photoelectric photometry of the eclipsing binary BS Vul.
Abstract
Photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary BS Vul, made during 1977 at the Astronomical Observatory of Torino, are presented. The lightcurve shows photometric irregularities particularly remarkable during primary minimum. The study of the epochs of minimum light reveals that the period has changed slightly. The geometric elements of the system were derived applying the method of Russell and Merrill to the primary minimum only, due to the extremely small depth of the rectified secondary minimum (1 - "=O.O13). Poor information about the physical conditions of the cooler star can be obtained from the present observations. Key words: Eclipsing binary - photometry
