Two-phase flow calculations in liquid metal fast breeder reactors
Abstract
Some available models used to describe the phenomena exhibited during a nuclear accident scenario are reviewed. Main characteristics of the models used are studied for one-dimensional or multidimensional boiling in a fixed geometry, for one dimensional cladding melting and relocation, and for multidimensional motion of molten materials (fuel and cladding).
