Orbital determination of Sirio during geostationary phase - Measurement method and experimental results
Abstract
The orbit of Sirio is calculated by processing tracking data supplied by the SHF telecommunication antenna. Azimuth and elevation angles are acquired automatically by the control center and processed by the orbit determination program. The program is a complex software package consisting of several modules and several options permitting determination, on the basis of a sufficient number of observations, either the orbit parameters at a given moment or the biases of the observations.
