Management of the Sirio mission
Abstract
The organization of the Sirio mission management is described and preliminary evaluations of satellite behavior during the first 5.5 months of orbit are reported. Monthly programs regarding experiments and operations on the satellite are prepared, on the basis of which a weekly program is drawn up that is used by the mission control groups. After the satellite was placed into orbit, orbit corrections were made. The verification tests for the SHF system were positive. The health of the satellite up to January 1978 was within the predicted limits.
