Development of multipurpose radiometer
Abstract
A radiometer has been developed for thermal vacuum testing at the Johnson Space Center. The radiometer: (1) measures incident or absorbed irradiance in the solar and/or infrared spectral regions, (2) measures emittance and absorptance, (3) has improved sensitivity, (4) is light in weight, (5) is rugged and very reliable, (6) is temperature-compensated, (7) requires no external control, circuitry or in situ calibration, and (8) has reduced operating costs.
