Scientific and methodological aspects of the construction of a full map of the moon with a scale of 1:5,000,000
Abstract
Consideration is given to the following aspects of the construction of a 1:5,000,000-scale map of the moon: element arrangement and projection; map content; generalization of images; development of norms and order of selection of elements of map content for different lunar regions; and the classification of elements of relief. Special emphasis is placed on the selection of colors and the development of an acceptable scale which reflect the albedo characteristics.
