Magnetic results, 1972: Eskdalemuir, Hartland and Lerwick

Magnetic data (hourly, monthly) obtained in 1972 from three observations (Eskdalemuir, Hartland, and Lerwick) are presented in tabular form. Mean annual results for the periods 1919 to 1972 (Eskdalemuir), 1925 to 1956 (Abinger), 1957 to 1972 (Hartland), and 1923 to 1972 (Lerwick) are also given. The measurements relate to declinations (West), horizontal and vertical intensities, and diurnal inegalities of geomagnetic elements. K indices were obtained from combined D, H, and Z values. Observed and adopted baseline values for the three stations are presented. Corrections to 1971 magnetic data published in Bulletin 5 are given.
