Link analysis program LINKAN. Volume 1: Theoretical and programmer's manual
Abstract
The theory and programming methods used in developing the program LINKAN, which performs noise analysis of fading satellite communication links are described. The analysis includes the treatment of non-linear satellite amplifiers, fading due to weather effects and aerial pointing losses, and the relation between the downlink noise and the downlink weather fading. The result is the distribution of the overall signal to noise ratio.
