Influence of viscosity effects and boundary layer separation on nozzle flows
Abstract
An attempt is made to develop a mathematical model of a Laval nozzle flow for nozzle throat diameters ranging from 0.1 to 1 cm, N2-CO2-He gas mixtures, temperatures between 1000 and 3000 K, pressures between 1 and 30 atm abs, and Mach numbers between 3 and 5 at the nozzle exit section. Calculations are carried out both for laminar and separated boundary layers.
