Antares CO2 laser system - Optics and components
Abstract
Antares is a 100,000-J CO2 laser system currently under construction. The laser system is the fourth generation of a series of lasers designed for experimental study of inertial confinement fusion. Upon completion of construction, the laser system will deliver nanosecond pulses from six power amplifiers having a total aperture area of over 5 sq m. The laser system and some of its unique component requirements are briefly described.
