The analysis of reconnaissance information from the data handling point of view

Basic concepts relating to the handling of EOB, ELINT, and COMINT data are reviewed. Consideration is given to the general purpose of the analysis of electronic reconnaissance data, the general character of the analysis process, the classification of signal types, and scanning processes and probability of intercept. Problems associated with the analysis of reconnaissance data are reviewed with reference to primary and secondary analyses, and library and indexing. Consideration is also given to specific analysis techniques, storage systems, and sorting methods.
