Quasi-random vibration effects on enclosure electromagnetic radiation shielding effectiveness
Abstract
Data on the EMI shielding effectiveness of an enclosure indicate degradation at high vibration levels, and the implications of this degradation for the development of EMI test procedures are considered. EMI test facilities and equipment are described. A mechanical shaker is the main component of a portable quasi-random pneumatic vibration facility, and the test item is an enclosure structure fabricated from aluminum honeycomb sandwich with stiffened internal compartments.
