Time domain response of logarithmic-periodic dipole antennas
Abstract
Simple analytical expressions for the transient farfields of resistively center-loaded circular cylindrical antennas are obtained. The time domain response of a logarithmic-periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) is calculated by superimposing these transient fields of single uncoupled elements. Several examples for varying LPDA-geometry are given for different values of the carrier frequency.
