The measurement of humidity with barium fluoride sensors. II - Design, properties, and employment of a measuring instrument with a miniature barium-fluoride humidity sensor

The considered miniature adsorption humidity sensor on barium fluoride basis has been developed for a study of humidity structures in cases in which requirements exist for high spatial and temporal resolution levels. Attention is given to the design and the characteristics of the sensor and the measuring device, aspects of sensor calibration, the evaluation of the humidity measurements, examples for measurements concerning fluctuations and profiles, and the employment possibilities for the humidity measuring system.
