Development of a programming system for statistical circuit analysis and yield computation
Abstract
A description is presented of the methods which have been used to develop a Monte Carlo program for network analysis. The same methods can be utilized for the development of programs in other cases. It is suggested to start with an available network analysis program as a base program for the nominal design and to develop it further. It is recommended to give particular attention to the organic integration of the new program sections and to a clear definition of the interfaces. The general requirements which have to be satisfied with respect to the selection and the extension of the base program are considered. Aspects of program implementation are discussed and questions concerning the structure and the use of the extended program are examined
