Broad-band mechanical vibration amplifier
Abstract
The mechanical system described amplifies vibration inputs at frequencies above the system isolation frequency (80 Hertz). It effectively amplified input vibration levels by a factor of 3 g's/g over an input frequency range of 100 to 2000 Hz, allowing testing at 150 g's while driving the shaker at only 60 g's, thereby saving energy and high level wear and tear on the shaker system and extending the upper limit of feasible test levels.
