Development of an electromagnetic particle accelerator
Abstract
The electromagnetic accelerator works for the speeds up to several hundred. With the aid of a driver, particles in the range of 10 to the minus 6th power were accelerated up to few millimeters. The tests show high accuracy and reliability. This accelerator can work in high vacuum (free of impurities) because it does not need a gaseous medium for the transfer of the energy to the particle. Automation of the driver and of the particle transport is possible, and a computer simulation is described.
