Analytical method for the prevision of multipath fading
Abstract
Some UHF experimental results and a mathematical model are described. The model is limited to the given experimental data and can not be used to predict the behavior of other systems. A deeper knowledge of the relationship of multipath fading to environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, wind, refraction index, and their gradients is necessary. For a complete definition, a study of the effect environmental variables have on the received signal phase shift, on the cross-polarization, and on the type of modulation used is also required.
