Standard reference materials: Standard thermocouple material, part-67, SRM-1967
Abstract
Thermoelectric voltages, residual resistance ratios, temperature coefficients of resistance, and chemical composition were reported for a high purity, highly characterized lot of platinum that was developed as a thermoelectric standard, Pt-67. A review of the historical development of the material is followed by characterization data on the material and descriptions of the cryogenic and high temperature apparatus. Effects of impurities are also described.
