Fluid dynamics analysis of a repeated-pulse CO2 laser excited by an electron beam controlled discharge
Abstract
Perturbations due to the repeated energy input in an electron beam controlled CO2 laser are analyzed. Only pressure perturbations propagating along the gas flow direction are considered. A linear treatment gives a correct value for the plateau amplitude for a single pulse. Calculations for many pulses are in agreement with experiments after steady state is reached.
